I’ve learned that Green Eggs are actually scrambled eggs with spinach usually servired with ham (regular ham color).

I much preferred the Grimms Fairytales. Scared me straight. Then I went to Catholic School.

Poor Hammy. Nothing like terrifying the youngsters with awful fairy tales.

Real green eggs and ham would be all moldy and gross. Don’t eat them.

If they’re made for St. Paddy’s Day – they could be colored with food coloring.

Poor Hammy. These stories are making him a little green around the gills.

not a literary device, but an example of telling a story utilizing very few words.

Wasn’t there also an early strip where RJ read the book by imagining Arnold Schwartzenegger as the Other Guy (named Guy-Am-I in the Netflix series) and Danny DeVito as Sam-I-Am?

I ate them with a goat once. Delicious. Not the eggs, that was the goat’s name.

Long ago, when I sometimes fought fires we were given c-rations to eat. The old canned food. Replaced by MRE’s. One can contained scrambled eggs with a slab of “ham”. When you heated it up the eggs turned green. I wonder if Dr. Sues was a war vet.

Some day I want to go to Boston and see the park from Make Way For Ducklings.

This isn’t the first time he read them this book.
