My sister worked one summer near Yellowstone. A ranger told her once he caught a woman who had painted jam on her son’s cheek and planned to set him near a bear then step back to take a picture.
Gosh this reminds me of the polar bear recently in the news for asking humans to help her with a can stuck on her tongue. I’ve seen video and it’s fascinating, the bear is clearly frightened but seems to understand that she needs help only people can provide
