Dogs should not sit with drivers. You can tell me all you want about how your dog sits on your lap and looks out your window and I will continue to say dogs should not sit with drivers. I rescued a beagle that had jumped out of an open window from a pickup. Luckily, the dog was not injured. When I located the owner after hours on the phone, it was very clear he was going to continue to drive the way he had, open windows and all. He almost didn’t get his dog back. A small dog on your lap can, in some situations, be seriously injured with legs or necks getting caught in the steering wheel – or cause an accident when you can’t drive properly. Mine sits quietly in the passenger seat, but if she didn’t, I would get a safety restraint for the backseat for both our safety.

It seems both Poncho and Buckles are traveling right now – it would be a nice surprise if they did a cross-over and the dogs met up for a bit, but I know I am just dreaming.

Good call, Paul. That was a smart move getting that doggy net to keep Buckles in the backseat.

Just another obstacle to overcome. Won’t take too long. Whining and howling are probably good starts though…..
