Now, if you tried doing that with a teenage girl, she would be catatonic before the phone got back to her.

I’m sure there’s a tablet, a laptop or even a PC lying around the house that the father can use to get his fix…

At least with a television, everyone could be watching the same thing and talk about it with each other. It was usually a group experience because we only had one television

Our first color tv was a barn sized console that Dad built from HeathKit. So he had to build a tube tester & an o-scope to fix it. It kept him out our hair sometimes.
