We actually got some rain tonite! I know, amazing! AND a double 180 degree rainbow. And thunder and lightning. And we might even get some tomorrow!…I’m being pathetic, but it’s been 107 to 112 all week. It was nice to stand outside without having your eyelashes curling up and turning to ash.
Sometimes, it’s nice to have a “girls day out” day. I miss those once a month lunch days I had with my friends. Then covid hit and we couldn’t get together for a long time. And then Cindy died and later, Julia died and since Pat moved away, it’s down to just me and Linda and we haven’t gotten together anymore. I miss those days when we had a big group of us (as many as 8 or 10 at one time). But time marches on and things change. So, Chesney, let Annie have her “girls day” picnic. Maybe another day, she’ll have a picnic with just the boys.
NATIONAL GIVE SOMETHING AWAY DAY. I’ve already been doing that with my zucchini. Yep, I was told by someone here that planting 4 hills of zucchini would be a lot. But it actually has not been as much as I expected. I got a lot all at once, but all I see now are 4 little ones not big enough to pick yet. And some blossoms, but not all blossoms produce zucchini. I’ll probably plant 4 hills of zucchini again next year.
NATIONAL GUMMI WORM DAY. I don’t hate gummi worms, but I’m not a fan of them either.
NATIONAL PET FIRE SAFETY DAY.
NATIONAL I LOVE HORSES DAY. I have always loved horses!
NATIONAL TAPIOCA PUDDING DAY. I love tapioca pudding too, but I don’t eat it very often.
Whew! Such a relief that I was able to sign on here! I couldn’t get on the internet on my laptop at all today. I’m on my desktop computer now. Ans while I was able to get on the comics page on my phone, I couldn’t comment. I could read comments, but I could not sign on so I could comment. I don’t know what’s up with the laptop not getting internet, but I’m glad I could do it on this computer.
Saw my chiropractor yesterday, I have a torn lateral ligament which should heal on it’s own. Still hard to believe I hiked back down the steep rocky trail for over 4 hours in agonizing pain that was mostly gone the next day!
Well, for one thing, you’re not a girl. For another, you’re kind of a pain in the neck. (Sorry if that sounds mean.) On another note, saw a rabbit, a robin, and two juncos while out walking today.
