What novelty road side attractions did you see that left no time for ice cream ?

I do take car ferry to a near by island to do some photography and some times spend a night there (the island had been depopulated so not many are there and it’s like Bodi ghost town). Then for some years I didn’t go because of, well, life. In 2020 I decided to go in April and was planning for a leave from work specifically to go there and do some photo shoot like before. DAN DAN DAAAAA: The pandemic started, and I didn’t go till this very day :(

What prevented you from getting ice cream?

Oh my – the Merrimack (Colsac) Ferry is my favorite – I grew up in Lodi, WI. The ice cream places are on either side and open during summer months and the ferry is free! Oh, and you should stop at the Circus World Museum in Baraboo too …

Went on the ferry twice and did not get ice cream either time. Are you bragging or complaining?

We took car ferries from Nova Scotia too Newfoundland. 8 hours one way, 15 hours the other way. Fortunately, there was a place for meals and ice cream onboard. I spent the time watching some pretty inane movies for something to focus my eyes on, to avoid seasickness.

You can now say you’ve dieted twice and neither one worked. Great excuse in my book :-) Next time (if there is one) maybe you could pre order from Door Dash and have it delivered to your car! Never miss a chance to get ice cream I say :-)

I like how Amanda and Dan respect each other. Amanda doesn’t make fun of Dan for enjoying a car ferry. Next they should get the ice cream then get on the Ferry.

When I was little there were still some car ferries left on SF Bay. I loved riding on them.

Car ferries? The Salish Sea is where you want to be.
