Six games is hardly enough time to turn an institute of higher learning into a football-mad powerhouse. It takes at least seven, maybe eight.

UConn pays coaches, and offers basketball scholarships. I’m sure they do in football, too, but does anyone care about UConn football?
Do Harvard, Princeton, MIT, CalTech … have football teams?
Then again if you do well you can renegotiate after six games.
yeah, contractors in the 90s had to get their stuff done quickly and accurately in order to get paid…
