Up late enough to be first! I used to have alarm cats – fortunately when I had a real job that I needed to be up for. I think one of them did purr in my ear; but Muffin would hook a claw in my nose and pull (boiing), and Teo would nip on whatever exposed part he could find. These days, the cats all stay asleep until breakfast is served. Unless I’m very late, but they still won’t wake me, they just jump on the counter while I’m preparing…

    I don’t currently have a cat. But I have a potty-monkey. That’s my alarm clock.

That’s why we have to de-cat the bedroom at night. It does not stop them from howling at the door, pre-dawn, though!

One of my cats tucks me in bed then about 6:15am head bumps me and starts her sweet little ‘meew’. I feed her, take my pain meds and go back to bed until they kick in.

LOL! Our Sultan has taken to climbing on me when I’m sleeping if he thinks it’s time for me to wake up. He sticks his cold nose in my ear, purring loudly and rubs his face on mine till I open my eyes. I swear, he only purrs loudly when he’s waking up Meowmy!

The tradition now is that he does that, and then I take him walkies out back. I don’t know how that started, but I’m stuck now! LOL! I actually don’t mind, Jason is allergic to the grass, so that’s one thing I can do to help him.

Honestly, I’m glad it’s Sultan and not Jelly! Dad says Sultan weighs a work bag and a half when he hefts him up (he’s a train driver and takes a duffle bag, sometimes two, with stuff he needs in it). Jelly weighs close to 50 pounds.. OOOFFF!
