When I was in elementary school, once a year the class would go to the nurse’s office to get examined for head lice. She’d skip over me and the other Black boys and we would be first in line for lunch :)

My sister got lice once and she’s black, I think it either depends on what type of hair you got or it’s just rare like super rare
