I hope that the reader isn’t biased? Is your tale going to weft around or warp straight to the end. Anyway you should be able to selvage the entry to the end.

My wife had her greatest sewing injury, a broken leg, while hemming a dress. OK, it wasn’t the sewing machine; after pinning the hem, she wanted to check the length. Our bathroom mirror ran behind a spacious double sink counter from the counter to the ceiling, so she checked the length by standing on the bathtub wearing the dress… and stockings. Yup… Crash, bang; instant sewing injury!

This is why dress hemming is not an Olympic sport – too dangerous. I’ll stick with the Luge, thank you.
