How can you give him an extra bone? It would require serious surgery. Where would they attach it? Would they make a leg longer? Add a rib? It’s a silly idea. Kewpie’s idea is better: give him extra body fat.

Hey I didn’t know it is National Dog Day! Well, as they say, every dog hath his day.

National hot dog day in 2022 was July 20th.

According to my calendar, it’s Women’s Equality Day…

Many years ago my wife was making a couple of dozen cupcake ice cream cones (basically just a cupcake in the top of a waffle style ice cream cone) for our our niece’s birthday party. She had them in a stand I made out of a cardboard box to keep them upright.

At the time we had two Rottweilers. The female went paws up on the countertop, a thing she had never done before and gently removed one of the goodies from the stand without disturbing a thing. We didn’t see the event, but my wife saw the tip of the cone sticking out of the dog’s mouth. We couldn’t help but laugh and gave the male one too. She wasn’t punished and never did that again.

Thanks for the reminder, Wilbur. Just the other day I was trying to figure out my dog’s birthdate. Sometime in October or November, I think. I guess Dog Day will work just as well.
