I have had cats who would play meow-and-seek. When Colette was young, she not only would hide in the bathtub and meow but insist on playing several minutes of shred-the-inner-shower-liner before she would come out. That’s one heck of a game; you have to be fast. A prepared person can strike at the curtain and withdraw just about as fast as a cat working on reflex alone. Ouch!

As long as The Mittens thinks he is not seen, he is not seen.

He’s like the kitten who thinks he’s well-hidden though his rump is sticking out from behind the sofa.

I have a picture of my cat “hiding” behind a sheet curtain. It’s also cute when cats hide under something , but forget to tuck that tail in

Our two seem to make a game of finding new hiding places, especially when we make plans to go out and want to make sure they’re both inside first.

My cat is sitting on my lap, and glanced at the screen. I can almost hear her thinking, “My, how human childish.”
