While “Nate hangs out with School PIcture Guy” isn’t brand new for the strip by any means, it feels less like a storyline the strips done before or one covering old terriotry and more like a great dynamic between two characters that shows up again and again for a reason, as comic strips are at their best. SPG is one of the few adults who mostly and unqeusitoningly supports nate and in turn SPG is one of the few adults Nate rarely snarks at. The two have an odd but genine and adorable friendship.
