After a rain, my daughter and I would take the earthworms out of the road gutter full of water and put them back in the grass. We still do that.

Boiled worn. Sautéeing implies cooking in fat.

Poached worm. Oh boy.

I started a raised garden this Spring with ten half-barrels and I “rescued” 40 worms for them from the wet sidewalks of the neighborhood.

Poached, maybe?

Too late bird.

Ah … The circle of life.

So now you can dine on dirt-coated worm instead. Be grateful that you have a meal.
