Corporate settings seem to like using the word “terminated”. When my late loving wife died, that was how they listed her even though she attempted to work the day she went into the Hospital.
Take the job, work a few weeks, then use the experience to put on your resume as a store manager and start looking elsewhere. Or at least as a higher paid assistant manager at a store that treats its employees well.
Today’s job market rocks for retail and service employees. There are two job openings for every unemployed person in the nation – more in unskilled, low paid or underpaid jobs like hers.
