Pauls expressions in todays cartoon are just precious , but as usual the lovable Buckles steals the show . His expressions in the " circle and the frame next it and the last two panels are so cute . : )
The Simon Says thing was also parodied in a teaser at the beginning of an episode of the 1980s Garbage Pail Kids cartoon, where a man smugly informed the viewers that they were out for doing things when he didn’t say Simon Says. Thankfully, he does get what’s coming to him when he says “Stomp your feet”, which caused him to get stepped on by a giant.
I taught all of our Akitas with voice and hand signals. I’d use either voice, hand, or both. So, I’d do voice and hand, “Sit”, then voice and hand, “Down”, then voice and hand, “Head down.” Then I would do voice only, “Sit,” then voice, “Down”, then voice, “Head down.” By the time I got to hand only commands I did, Sit . . . and he sat up, laid down, and put his head down without further commands. He just wanted the treat.
