We’ve made rather a lot of money selling what other people threw out or dumped on Goodwill. That old lamp base that was really a Van Briggel vase, $1600. That denim LV purse that cost maybe $1, $800. And Goodwill now has more knowledgeable people screening donations for their online auctions. But there are streams that let you get to masses of very lightly screened stuff.
This is the time of year to go “furniture shopping,” where I live. A lot of the graduating college students, who are moving back home, put a lot of their furniture out on the curb, because they don’t want the expense of taking it with them. It’s amazing, the quality of some of it!

Leave furniture out for big trash in my neighborhood, odds are it disappears before the trash collector gets there.

Bravo, Lucille. She’s just doing her part to help the planet … refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle. ♻️

Actually it’s called “Repurposing.” I’ve grabbed two sets of pool stairs people were throwing out and sold them both for close to $100 each!

I don’t think Avis was even this mad when she learned her son poisoned Gotham City’s water supply.
