When I worked in a grocery store, snowbirds would always come in complaining about our prices. Tomatoes back in Michigan are only 33 cents a pound. I would tell them that was a long drive to get cheap tomatoes.

We had a saying at the store, that snowbirds come to the Gulf Coast with $20 and a shirt and don’t change either.

Most places have two prices —organic and conventional. Here the also have two prices — in- stock and out- of- stock.

Haven’t purchased store-tomatoes in 7 years; ever since moving to farm-country. One of the local farmers even has a green house. Ahhhhh — Yummm
