In Europe I’ve stumbled on small chapels, either side chapels in churches or stand-alone in courtyards, that have life-sized sculptures. Either of Jesus or a tomb, sometimes both. The walls are covered with actual thank you notes. It’s either sweet or creepy, depending on your perspective.
Well, to be serious, we should thank God every day.
I read a book called, “Man’s Search for Meaning” by VIktor Frankl that put it all into perspective for me. It’s an easy read in spite of its name and it’s also a short read.
Frankl was a Jewish psychiatrist in Austria who was put into a concentration camp by the Nazis. In the book he relates some of his experiences in the camp and how he dealt with them. I won’t say more so I don’t spoil it for you if you do decided to read it.
I don’t care how crappy your day at the office was, it’s a lot better than a “good” day in a concentration camp.
Not plausible. Many post-NT writings about the nature of God paint him as exceedingly needy and emotionally fragile, as in his arrangement of a million cherubim who fly around his throne saying “Glory to God in the Highest” over and over.

Pretty sure the bible portrays god digging all the adulation.

And, who do we “thank” for Mondays?

I’ve always said Friday’s should be the Lords Day, not Sunday, because Friday is the day everyone gives thanks.

Good to thank God, cause we can’t thank this administration.
