It’s the soy-bean based ink on the newspaper. (gross smelling)

The paper-boy looks like a mini Paul. Are they related?

I would react the way the paper boy did too if I came upon a dog with bad breath.

My temporary guest dog reminds me of Buckles today. Whew! She needs her teeth cleaned! She is so obedient though. I dazzle my neighbors when we are out walking by saying “Place” and she will stop, turn, and come very close to me on my left side. Yet I can say “heel” until I am blue in the face, and she will keep trying to forge ahead at least half a dog length. I put the leash behind my back and keep her where she belongs. I go in and out of the house ahead of her, and she needs permission to get on the furniture or bed. She isn’t passive as I have always believed. She is a dominant dog who has had a lot of training and is obedient. We have paired up together for 5 years for therapy dog work, and I cannot handle a dog I am not certified for, so I accepted the owner’s description of “passive.” She is an incredibly sweet dog and has adjusted quickly to my schedule. Overall, she will be welcome back again if needed. Then again, I am kind of easy because I kept taking my daughter’s Jack Russell, too, sometimes for weeks or more at a time.
