I agree with your comment yesterday that they should have brought The Time Tunnel to a proper conclusion. You say that you have stopped reading Red and Rover which I and another commentator recommended to you. You might like to try today’s Red and Rover strip which contains another nice tribute to the Peanuts strip. That would have been very appropriate two weeks ago which, as I noted on this site, was the 72nd anniversary of the first Peanuts strip.
You saw a tribute to Peanuts on Red and Rover recently which, as you pointed out, was very unusual in that it showed Snoopy on a leash. He certainly isn’t on a leash in his guest appearance today.
Today, October 16 2022, brings back memories of 16 October 1976. That was the date on the last issue of the UK comic Valiant and the first issue of the UK comic Krazy. The “Billy Bunter” comic strip finally ended in the last issue of Valiant. It first appeared in the first issue of Knockout in 1939 and lasted for over thirty-seven years. A character in Krazy called Mickey Mimic appeared as Billy Bunter in the first issue and appeared as Bunter again in a later issue. Valiant lasted from 1962 to 1976 but Krazy only lasted from 1976 to 1978.
Strips from both Valiant and Krazy were later reprinted in Buster. When I started reading Buster in 1973, the strips included “Bluebottle and Basher” and “Barney Bluffer – He’s Britain’s Biggest Bragger!” which were both from Valiant. Two later strips in Buster were “Shorty the Sheriff” and “The Imaginary Adventures of Little Orvy” which had also appeared previously in Valiant. Two strips from Krazy which were reprinted in Buster after I finished reading that comic were “Scaredy Cat” and “Birdman and Chicken”.
If they give Liz Truss the boot, they call a snap general election and Keir Starmer and Labour win, maybe they can scrap these requirements and give Andy a break.
Ok… Florrie’s response is mediocre at best… A good response needs to be surprising, but it makes one wish one had thought of it… I.e., it makes sense in context. This one? And the award itself ought to go in quotes, not the dates. And why those years? A poor ‘double’ effort x 2!
If the Job Center hasn’t figured out Andy by now they never will. I think they know Andy is never going to take a job, so the best they can do is just harass him as much as possible.

Hope that they had a loo nearby. With all that Ale, well there is a reason that the Australians tend to call beer “P*ss”.

Well, if anything, that at least should tell them something about Andy.

I never understood why he didn’t just open a bar. He’s a pro. (Actually, never mind. Norm would have made a poor bar owner, too.)
