My wife and I used to go on small hikes almost every weekend when we were dating and first married 30 years ago. It was cheap (we didn’t have much other than each other back then) and an opportunity to just be out. We would pack a lunch and have a picnic. We still go hiking every so often when the weather’s nice and we can fit it in.
