When I was at the comic shop every week, a twenty would about cover my habit. Comics were a buck seventy five then, too.

And with the high prices and small target audience, it’s no wonder the Gay Superman DC comic was canceled after just 18 issues.

“Yes, but this is how much they will be worth in 150 years, if all other copies are destroyed by a massive solar flare.” :(

I gave up buying comic books back in the mid or late 90s. The price escalation, and special issues with multiple covers, etc., killed my desire to collect. But I still read a few, thanks to certain sites on the internet.
