My little sister and one of her friends decided they wanted to go trick-or-treating….. in June. (they were 6-ish) They did pretty good, as I remember it. Of course, this was in the late ’60’s, maybe early 70’s. We had the run of the neighborhood from the time I was ~5 years old.
I never have a single “trick or treater” but always buy candy just in case. And I make sure it’s candy i like: Reeses peanut butter cups and almond joys.
I gave all my candy away last night for the first time in years. I’m so proud to be an American I could cry. God Bless America. “Trick or Treat smell my feet. Give me something good to eat.”
No one came as usual. Did not even see anyone out trick or treating – and as posted elsewhere, we have 2 children on one side of house and one on the other just to start.

If all of the candy he got fits in that candy bucket it wasn’t much of a haul. And certainly not enough to YARF!

Having grown up on a farm I had never been trick or treating until I took my kid out.

Not a single kid last night, lots of rain though.

I don’t know about that. November and December offer an awful lot also. Merry Christmas….
