A show for Toddlers has a complex background? Reminds me of “Land of the Lost” == the original TV series — it was really crude and silly but the backstory about the evil lizard people was pretty complex.
Season 8 when Arnie was turned into a human was the point where the show really jumped the shark. And after proving he could jump over a shark, Arnie passed the wizard’s test and was turned back into a dinosaur.

If a show has lore that draws in viewers, it must be good, right?

A pet peeve of mine (and I know this is completely not something to stress on) is how overused “lore” suddenly has become in various fan communities.
