Those are a few Halloween traditions that can happily be left in the dustbin of history. That said, maybe they already have been. I have never had the house egged or TP’d. Our pumpkins have never been smashed, either. Eaten by squirrels, yes. Smashed, no.
In her 20’s, married and with a small child (me) at home, my Mom went out with friends to soap all the windows and tp the trees in the neighborhood. Thatta Dad’s right, somebody has to do it!
