That’s not how it worked for me. I wanted to be a scientist since age 10. My parent encouraged me at every step. I succeeded and (after many many years), I still look forward to going to work. How many people would say that?
When the secretary was typing up a report for the engineer she had it as “the calculations were done with a sly drool.”
A pure mathmatics degree for Junior would certainly open employment doors for him.
