Some/many accuse others of using “dog whistle language” to try to make those others look bad – like they are sexist or racist (whether they are or not)

Under Trump’s “cut taxes for everyone” policy, more women, Hispanics, Blacks, and Asians got jobs than ever before. I’m SURE a lot of those were poor people lifted OUT of poverty by getting a job!

1984 was 38 years ago. Animal Farm refined this 77 years ago.

In 1981 Lee Atwater, the famed Republican political operative, explained to an interviewer how his party had learned to exploit racial antagonism using dog whistles. “You start out in 1954 by saying ‘N____r, n____r, n____r.’” But by the late 1960s, “that hurts you, backfires. So you say stuff like, uh, ‘forced busing,’ ‘states’ rights,’ and all that stuff, and you’re getting so abstract. Now, you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is, blacks get hurt worse than whites.”

Right from the horse’s mouth. Nothing’s really changed.
