It’s okay Rory; the kids are all right (it just doesn’t look that way at first).

Every adult generation thinks the kids are lazy, disrespectful and useless. But they manage. Another irony is that the adult generation typically creates things, pushes them on the youth, and then criticizes the youth for getting into them. When I was a kid, we were criticized for watching too much TV, talking on the phone too much, and wasting too much money and time on our stereos. When my dad was a kid, he got criticized for always messing around with his newfangled steam engine (he’s really old).

The ones allowed to criticise are the generations that fought in the wars, WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam etc. They fought for their countries and have a reason to be upset.

Social media has influenced out youth of today, and some not so good! Parents need to monitor the activities, but let them be kids! Teach them values, manners and respect!

I think the advancement in technology by each generation has changed the lives of the next generation and not always for the better.
