Just think what Andy left on the bus? Some wife got yesterdays racing form…

Where would he get the money to buy them?

Andy is just as romatic as Norm Peterson.

I wonder if they were Forget-Me-Nots, (otherwise known as Myosotis)? For who could forget Andy?

At the beginning of Beau Geste, a character says “If Very Small Geste is allowed to live, he might retrieve his character and find a hero’s grave.” Another character asks, “What would he do if he found a hero’s grave?” The first character replies, “Pinch the flowers from it and sell them, I suppose. As for retrieving his character, it’s best left where it is unless it is near drinking water.”

These characters turn out to be three young brothers playing a game. Later on in the book, they serve in the French Foreign Legion for real.

By finding them on bus, Andy means he took them from and old man who fell asleep on the bus.

Better than stealing them from a graveyard. I can’t stand people who steal from graveyards. Lowest form of low.
