GOP died out some time ago, It was subsumed by Q-Anon and TFG cultists. Since then, they have kicked out most of the semi-reputable Republicans that refused to be converted.
Scott, do you really think that the GOP will have that thought? I’m betting that they declare the reason they didn’t win more elections is that they didn’t go extreme ENOUGH. They needed to take away MORE rights, demean MORE minorities, threaten MORE poll workers, and lash out MORE at young people
Dems lost fewer seats in the House of Representatives than any Democratic president’s first midterm election in at least 40 years.
And they had the best midterms for Governors since 1986.
The American people spoke.
Voter turnout at midterms tends to be low, and tend to favor the party that does not hold the presidency.
Increased voter turnout almost always helps the democrats more.
The fact that the Democrats did so well at midterms, when the Republicans had a reasonable expectation of their “Red Wave,” signals bad news for Republicans in the Presidential elections in 2 years. “If” tRump runs – it’ll be a complete sh!tshow.
First Trump barely wins, then he fails to secure a second term (the first president since Bush Sr. to do so), then they do poorly at midterms… They are very worried.
They’ve only won the popular vote for President once in the last 30 years, and that was riding the “we need to come together” sentiment after 9/11.
Shrub wouldn’t have been president in the first place if.. ya know.. all the votes were counted, his brother hadn’t suppressed the vote and his daddy’s and daddy’s boss’ scotus didn’t hand 2000 to him.
“The predicted Red Wave became more of a Red Plop. The reason appears to be the fact that the Republican Party put more faith into offering its allegiance to a person and not to a set of ideals.” -SS

The last part made me laugh. Republican ‘ideals’:
Ever increasing wealth inequality.
Cut taxes for the rich.
Voter suppression and intimidation, and gerrymandering.
Why is this piece dated 9 Nov, yet I don’t remember seeing it before? Also, am I wrong, but wasn’t there a previous elephant head up donny mcCarthy’s butt piece?:

Republicans need to excommunicate all the RINOs — any of them who refuse to accept Trump as Their Messiah.
