Because the Thugs will be holding the economy hostage via the debt ceiling as soon as they are able ?

Whenever you let Republicans have the pursestrings, our economy sinks. More money goes to the richest and the corporations, and the rest of us get the shaft.

For a little while I will hold on to the hope that there are some responsible Republicans who will work toward good solutions to real problems.

When the wealthy and corporations pay their fair share of taxes, government spending won’t be an issue.

Except I don’t seem to remember any reductions in budgets when the Repubs controlled Congress. Just another delusional lie they like to spread.

Golly Mister Breen just where was your outrage when all the Republicans voted not to even begin to investigate corporate price gouging? Just where was your outrage when Republicans all voted to not investigate historic levels of profits in the oil industries while prices climbed at the pumps and yet that industry still gets subsidies from your tax dollars? We wait for your response but of course your silence just proves that you hide behind the GQP cult like the good little Republican shill you have always been

Not all spending, just spending that may benefit your average American working person.

After 2 years of childish MAGA behavior in the House, the 2024 elections will swing bluer than ever

So, Republicans will spend two years doing what they do best. Nothing.

What we need are more tax cuts. Tax cuts fix everything.

Sure, because that MASSIVE increase in defense spending during TFG’s time in office sure reduced spending. Not!

And the Repug’s blocking a spending bill needed to avert a government shutdown really fixes things, doesn’t it? /s

Yeah. The guy only saved the economy, practically eliminated unemployment, got an infrastructure bill through, lowered the deficit, and shepherded the country through the pandemic (unlike TFG, who only managed to get a lot of people killed unnecessarily). Certainly wouldn’t want him doing that anymore!
