@Linguist Today’s strip IS funny , all our HERO Mr Andrew Capp cares about is Booze, my avatar is a black spot because we are sad that our cat Bella went to kitty heaven yesterday and we buried her in our back garden, come passerai la vostra Domenica mio meno vecchio amicho , our Sunday should be calm with no shopping or errands to run , just stay inside the house and keep hydrated and wait till 9.30 when we will watch our Archbishop celebrate the Holy Mass on television , keep safe and a bientot pal
Nothin’ like a beer garden on the marina, where you can watch the boats dock while you fight off the seagulls trying to swipe your chips and poop in your beer!
Puts me in mind of family patriarch John Walton (actor Ralph Waite). In an early episode of the series, he argued with his wife (and a prim and proper evangelist) over whether it was sinful to take the children swimming on a hot, sunny Sunday afternoon. Part of his argument was that, “After all, the Lord gave us this beautiful day.”
Instead of falling into the canal, Andy can fall into the Marina. ( I was going to post “Isn’t a beer garden where they grow hops, barley, and yeast?”, but I decided that would be stupid.)

Sounds good to me. I would join Andy on this one.

Andy’s way of celebrating and honoring the Lord’s bounty is with the ritual “quaffing of the ales”.

And the pub is right near the canal. So Andy doesn’t have to go far to fall in.
