I remember when they shifted a few brands to bag-only to lower the prices as if the cardboard boxes were raising the price up $2. When other brands of other products (rice, cake mixes, etc.) didn’t make the shift we knew it was all BS.
Even more with galloping grocery inflation, I shop for sales prices and for cheaper house brands or generics as far as possible. Sadly, that doesn’t always cover things that I require, so food expenses are way up over the last year or so.
Hence, I am in accord with our little green witch….
