At this point the director would take Heart aside and tell her, in no uncertain terms, that she needs to either get her act together or they’ll get a professional commercial actress in to do the shoot. Seeing as how whoever won the contest would most likely be an amateur, I’m sure the contract would contain a clause stating that the company could replace the winner if they proved to be unsuitable.
They might not be paying Heart, but they’re paying the crew, the director, and everyone connected with the shoot, and they wouldn’t put up with this nonsense for long.
