Appliance boxes are best, and there’s a great selection when a kid moves to a new house.

Nerwin taking cues from Red and Rover.

My dad brought home a large cardboard box for me to play in. I turned each side into a different machine, a submarine, spaceship, car and an airplane. I spent hours playing in that box until it finally fell apart.

Currently, it is a Calvin time machine, turn it over and it becomes a Calvin transmogrifier.

Awwww! How cute and innocent.

The box use to contained one of those Fisher Price plastic forts.

The space race is on between Nerwin and Red with Rover. Yip yip yip yip yip

Not like kids today who want EVERYTHING and then when they get it, they want more! They’re like “That’s it???” and the more you give them, the more they demand; they scream and throw temper tantrums; they learn quickly that if they scream, you give them what they want just to shut them up so then they turn into adult “moochers, leeches, and parasites” who want everything given to them. “I deserve this/that; I want it ALL and I want it NOW and somebody’d better GIVE it to me! Why should I have to WORK for it?” I actually had a customer notice our hiring sign (warehouse club, like Sams) and he actually said he would NOT work for “less than $25 an hour”

Poor Nerwin, born so close to Christmas.

Boxes were big toys when I was real little. Some of the best times had by me and my little sister…..

I used to love fridge boxes when I was a kid. Instant fort.

What a delight! Really fires up the imagination, and that’s a very Good Thing….

yeah, only kids and cats would be happy with a BOX!!!
