Our new ten year old Pom has started helping me dry my “paws.” She’ll come into the bathroom after the water is off (she risks being snatched up to take a shower with me if she comes in earlier) and wait patiently until I step out onto the bathmat, when she’ll lick water off my feet and ankles. She considers me part of her “pack.”
Removing the dog and his note, this could still work as a cartoon of a man standing on a scale with his weight displayed on the wall in front of him. The effects of holiday eating can produce the same reaction he’s showing.

He could have a future in the police department as a crack-sniffing canine.
