I had a teacher that was actually testing who would read the instructions. The paper she handed out gave the usual stuff, but then said to be sure and read the remaining instructions on the back of this page before beginning the test. Only a few of us flipped it over while everyone else dug right in to working on the test. "Test Part 2: You have followed instructions correctly, there is no need to complete the rest of the test. You may leave the classroom with an A.

The even worse thing to do would be to read only the top of the test and then hand it in.
