When we were getting married and having a big wedding to make husband and his parents happy (and probably my parents too – I was the one who did want a big wedding) the ordering of my dress and the bridesmaid almost led to the marriage being called off.

I said would not pick a color and “we” decided on the same dress in different colors. My mom figured at that almost 30 I could deal with this without her – we were at a seamstress MIL had heard about and MIL was taking over. Ever hear of a wedding gown which looked liked it was designed by a committee? Mine did – because it was. Took husband years to admit it did.
