“You were up all night? The client called yesterday afternoon, and delayed the meeting until next week. Didn’t I tell you?”

No job is worth pulling an all-nighter for. If I can get my job done in less than 40 hours, it proves how smart and efficient I am.

I worked all night on an engineering project once. The next day I demonstrated the design for my boss and it was crap.

The boss will not have any sympathy for you. Trust me, I know.

Sacrifice is expected but never rewarded by the Corporatocracy….

Only once was I ever working at night in a Professional Job. I was a Computer Programmer and our System’s “Night Run” had crashed in one of my programs. I had to go in to debug the problem. Turned out it was another program that was feeding bad data to mine. Still, I made an edit to mine to check for that specific kind of bad input…

Would a CEO like Pembrook be fired in this day and age or would he get away with everything?
