Well if there had to be one thing that Dean or his friends had to be good at when it’s comes to sports.

I remember being very confused in 4th or 5th grade when a boy tried out for cheerleader. But Dean is sort of right, a mascot doesn’t preform elaborate dance moves, then again he will be heavy a heavy, stuffy costume for long periods of time.

As usual, Charlotte is right. Professional mascots, like Gritty and the Phllie Phanatic are constantly in motion. Even the Hawk of Saint Joseph’s University is required to flap constantly during games.Being a mascot is not a passive thing.

Umm, Dean? Do you have any idea how hot it gets in those costumes?!

Dean is about to have a learning moment; likely several of them in a row.

Makes sense.

You will have to dance a bit bud. Your still a mascot and that requires at least one split if the costume allows it. But given his best friend is a theater kid, he at least has a good teacher.. and evne if it dosen’t work out it’ll be hilarious.

It does cut down the embarrassment factor if people can’t see your face as you fail.

My middle school didn’t have a mascot costume, but our high school did. They did not hold auditions, just kind of secretly approached kids with an offer of the gig and asked them to to keep their identity hush-hush. I know because a good friend confided in me that the coach roped her into it because she was the right size for the costume and had good energy.

Lottie is getting to know Dean pretty well.

The first thing I noticed about the comic was the Philadelphia flyers jersey
