Nothing says humble wisdom like mocking a 55-year-old woman behind her back for not wanting to go on a long run in the middle of a blizzard to one of her young students.

Frazz is just stating a common thread between young and old. I think he respects Mrs. Olsen more now, say, than when he was her student.

Took a while to get down to reality. At some point in the past, I used to run along the Mississippi bottoms. Few things as boring.

That last panel seems to be mocking 90% of online discussion.

    And 99.5% of political discussion.

Much like in class when Mrs. Olsen is teaching and Caldwell is …..whatever it is he does.

Frazz misspoke in the first panel. He was wise enough to enjoy the snow and cold. Why would he then label that weather as “foul”?

Running in foul weather is not for the chicken hearted.

Just for variety, one day I’d like to see this strip do something like this:

“What were you and Mrs. Olsen talking about?”

“Sëx. Mind yer own business, kid.”

That kid needs some lessons in manners.

Not wanting to run in frostbite weather? That’s more wisdom than a preconceived notion.

I had an umbrella walking one day last week but it didn’t do me any good and I had to change when I got home. And of course it quit raining and I could have walked later.

Isn’t that what most people do when they “listen”? Or read?
