Who wants to do the dirty work now? Generally migrants, often illegals who are here for a few months and then go home like they have for generations.
If the right really wanted things “like they were in the 20’s”, the border would be open completely. The border patrol wasn’t even established until 1924, and that was because of whiskey smuggling, not stopping workers.
I drove a school bus for a year while waiting to begin nursing school. It is hard work, often dangerous, and not well paid.I have nothing but respect for drivers and I can understand why there are openings for drivers everywhere.
And.. this is a bad thing? I draw the line at pedophiles driving school busses.. but migrants?? heck, they can probably drive better than most Americans.
Somehow it seems that the hardest jobs are the worst paid. Hardest on the body, that is. If agricultural jobs were well paid, then more people would be willing to do them. My grandfather worked at a lot of bad jobs, such as candling eggs (most people probably don’t even know what that is). His last job, working in a mine, killed him at the age of 45.
People need to start looking around. Service workers, bread and pop drivers, construction workers, and care workers. Brown people are part of America. You want to keep America moving, look around and see who is moving it.
Too bad we can’t get younger Americans to PUT DOWN THEIR DA** PHONES long enough to go out and look for a job. But, of course, most wouldn’t even CONSIDER doing the type of work that immigrants will do in a heartbeat. If it isn’t at least mid-level management that starts at 6 figures, then they aren’t interested.

They’re not taking anyone’s jobs. Abbott’s vile.

We could use some of those willing workers. Bus drivers, kitchen work, farm work, etc. Plenty of openings.

Once upon a time, we had a program that worked. God forbid we try anything like it again…

… and most of the “it’s my USA” people’s family … ALSO came from “somewhere else”. Grow up.

We’re millions of workers short. Amnesty for all of them and get them in the system working and paying taxes.
