That’s why some cities elect a dog for mayor.

That’s not complexity from THEIR viewpoint, it’s just B-O-R-I-N-G !

There are some cities where either one of them (or almost anyone else) would make a better mayor than the person “serving” in that position right now.

They may or may not take his advice!

By the time they think it through, it’ll be time to get on the bus for home.

Frazz uses an old government technique. If, you can’t dazzle them with brilliance. Baffle them with BS.

Thinking about a complex thing long enough and well enough to reach a valid conclusion is hard.

And that’s why political speeches and campaign ads and ads by special interest groups appeal to emotions.

Oh, another reason. Sometimes thinking leads to conclusions which politicians and special interest groups don’t want you to reach.

And nowadays, just about everybody is in at least one special interest group. Though of course they don’t admit that, not even to themselves.

It makes for a sad point though. Politicians make governance so complex (or ridiculous) that many people would rather watch a basketball game.
