Any board member can do what they please!!!

In fact we deserve raises for saving the company money!

They might need to give themselves bonuses just in case they need to declare bankruptcy.

Naturally!

I have worked at two large companies ( > 10000 employees) where the top jerk in charge got huge bonuses for cutting the budget, and then the company almost went bankrupt from failure to fulfill contracts. At one of these, the board hired this pos after he had already done the same someplace else. Luckily, he died shortly after being fired, so he couldn’t render his wrack and ruin any place else.

Hours before those banks went bust, all the executives got their bonuses!

“Okay, now that everyone’s on Board…”

That would be appropriate, since they’ll be the only ones left to do the work. They are doomed.
