Sorry to see anyone injured in any occupation but, just like our military’s wounded warriors, it was known to be brutal, voluntarily done and the individuals are trained and equipped to perform. I do , however, wonder why the incessant news coverage.
There are hundreds if not thousands of cardiac incidents every day on and off of work. Pro sports players get paid much better than any of the others including those in uniform.
Is it possible to discern for a fact whether or not the collision caused the cardiac arrest? Surely there are other injuries sustained by American football players that are reason enough to be bothered by the nature of the game?
