Our second husky was NYC rescue, After 5 years of apartment life she didnât get the whole âhuskyâ idea. So my daughter made her a path to go do her thing. And, being MY daughter, she made it in the shape of a âPâ. It was the dogâs Pee path.
My late loving wife and I had 2 Chihuahuaâs and I would go out and sweep a path for them. When we knew there was a big snow coming, I would put down an old sheet and then pull it up so they had a much larger area. Our Catahoula Leopard dog would just plow right through. I do have some old pictures where the snowfall was too much so I had to use the snowblower and it was so deep you can barely see the Chihuahuaâs ears in the paths I made.
My neighbour shovels a big spiral in the deep snow in his back yard so pup dog can run off his extra energy at high speed without having to do the salty street/ windrows from plows.

I shoveled a path through the yard for our St Bernard in her senior years
She didnât mind cold and she loved snow, but she got too old and weak to plow through it like she did as a young dog

We had one dog who hated getting wet. If she had to Go while it was raining, one of us had to stand over her with an umbrella.

My dog loves the snow. But if itâs 3 inches I still have to make a path for her because sheâs a very small Sheltie.

We shovel places in our yard for our elderly Malteses to do their business. Easier than cleaning the carpet

I have a little one who can handle an inch while her late big buddy could handle seven or twelve. Neither wanted the snow removed.

We SHOULD spoil our furry companions because after all, they provide us comfort and companionship especially when we need it the most.
