I would love to be a pacifist, but I believe that there are times that to refrain from using violence is immoral. The problem is to decide when these times are.

Violent solutions are bad solutions and are temporary at best, but sometimes a bad solution is the only choice you have.

Even Sun Tzu in his book, “The Art of War,” recommends trying a lot of things before trying war.

I can see why the pope would be meditating on peacemakers, with so much trouble in the world.
