We get our pet fix by sitting other peoples pets. There is a difference in a two year old bundle of energy pup that will fetch till your arm falls off and a ten year old hound who’s good after two throws.

Rover’s given Red some time to recover and a smaller stick to throw.

A little whittling here and there, Red was able to manage a few more throws….

Newton is a 7-year old Fox Red Lab. Still wants to play like crazy—is it a Lab thing? My first dog, a Golden Retriever/Collie mix slowed down after his puppy years, but my second dog, a Golden Retriever, was more a people-cuddle dog from day one!

We had a female German Sheppard that was a little nuts. She would try (and complain) to pick up Cinder-blocks, boulders and tree limbs

My Boy (Avatar) would only fetch 2 or 3 time …… then he would drop the ball or stick 6-8 feet away from me and gave me that look, if you want this you go and fetch it yourself …….. great memories …. :)

Ending this game of fetch was gnawed in the cards.
