There’s an old Mad TV sketch where an Australian… explorer guy? I dunno. Anyway, he has a commercial for a product called Verb Alert; attach it to certain areas of your house, and if someone gets close, a voice clip from him plays telling you to watch out.
Here’s the message that played when a big guy opened a fridge: “Get moving, fatty! Nothing to see here! Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!” This strip made me think of that.

That reminds me of that one gag Tex Avery used at least twice, where a tourist tries to feed an animal only for the animal to shout “CAN’T YOU READ?!”
